Just got back from a 2 week vacation in Italy. I can speak a little bit of Spanish so I figured I would try out Italian before our trip. I made flash cards of the 100 words here, along with how to pronounce them and the sentence associated with them. I also added flash cards from the common phrases video. Between this, 2 audio lessons I listened to on the way to and from work everyday, and a decent amount of Duolingo in the 2 months leading up to the trip, I was surprised how much I was able to speak to locals. We went to a rural area first where very few people spoke any English and I was able to get by. I even had several people ask if I lived in Italy. Like she says, the 80/20 rule works! The phrases she teaches I actually heard my very first day among the locals and couldn't believe it. By the end of the trip I could speak Italian conversationally better than Spanish. Thank you Michele!

3:12 I feel like there is a mistake here. The English word mentioned is Nevermind but the Italian word and pronunciation is for Patience.

I've tried to access the pdf but it's not worked. I've clicked the link, entered my email but I haven't received anything. I've managed to get one of the other pdfs but this one isn't working.

You have an Australian accent, right? But are you Italian, too?
