The Epilogue (from Patch 5 update this week) takes place 6 months after the final battle. This scene is part of the “good" ending, where Gale returns the Crown of Karsus to Mystra, and remains human--choosing to stay in the mortal world instead of becoming a god in Elysium.

In my playthrough, Tav romanced Gale. And in the months following the final battle, they moved to Waterdeep and got married. Gale began teaching at Blackstaff Academy, where he was once an apprentice. 💖
