I've had my fender acoustic for about 5 years. I've watched other videos on how to restring an acoustic and most of the times I would screw it up. After I stumbled upon this video, I went out and got a set of strings and they came out perfect! Thank you. And thanks for those other videos on how to play different songs. I've seen other ways people shown how to put the strings around the tuning pegs, but it seemed difficult for a beginner like me. This way of wrapping the strings around the tuning pegs and putting the string over through the hole is a much simpler way of putting the strings on the tuning machines for me. 9 years into playing guitar and still quite a beginner. I have to look up a video every time I change strings and this is the first time I've seen this method. Why on earth doesn't everyone teach this method??? This is absolutely the easiest way to change the strings I've ever seen. I saved this video to my favorites so I can use this every time. Thank you. I’ve watched several videos now of how to change strings and yours is by far the best; great explanations as you are actually changing the strings, showing what to do at a slow pace so one can actually follow what you are doing, the beautiful clarity of the video resolution, not talking down to those of us who are watching this to learn, etc. Thank you!

Update: 15/7/18 - I changed my own strings last night for the first time following your method only difference was that I changed them 2 strings at a time starting from the thickest ones as I wasn't comfortable removing ALL at once. Everything went well and NO broken strings. I'm so 'Chuffed' that I was finally able to do it all by myself being a 'noob' Thank you so much for your Tutorials & God Bless 🙋🎸

This works guys. Followed his instructions and absolutely no problems. Tuned and re-tuned a bit, but that's normal when applying new strings. Mark The Guitar Guy is a natural teacher. Really patient, really good at explaining things. And the close ups throughout were a big help in understanding the whole process. Thanks for taking the time to make and share this video with us.

All of the Youtube tutorials I have seen for changing the strings out, this is the only one that I have seen done the correct way. All the guitar shops in the area where I live change them this way. I'm not saying the others are wrong but this seems the most efficient and neat way to change them. Friends that have strung their guitars themselves using other methods have have big knotted balle of string around the peg and are constantly tuning the guitar. Good on ya!

Amazing tutorial. I allways gave my guitar to local music shop to change strings, but this time i did it by my self and thanks to this video, i did it as good as music shop did!
