It's awesome to see another Mercury Cougar in the wild. My dad and I own a 1968 Cougar that we bought my senior year. Awesome Cars!

Excellent instructions on how to switch the blades. I was happily distracted by the beautiful cat.

Kind of funny. I've been using typical carbine tip skill saw type blades for well over two to three decades or longer, well before any trimmer company thought about using any blade on their trimmer offerings. And I could cut trails into hunting stands with ease. And I also made adapters to install such blades on the newer trimmers when I bought them. I have a metal lathe and turning adapters is a breeze. One thing I have discovered is the cheaper blades with the fewer carbide tips work tons better then ones with a lot of carbide tips. In other words, stay away from the expensive quality cabinet grade carbide tip blades and go for the cheaper fewer carbide tips for quicker cutting ability of woody brush and fairly large saplings. Thumbs Up!

Thank you so much!!! My wife and I moved onto a 4.5 acre beautiful little farm deep in the mts of TN/NC and I have been clearing a couple of acres for some beef and at 64 it's been fun. And you have become my go to channel. Blessings

I love the information that you provide in your videos🤙🤙🤙
I have tried these circular blades for the brush I cut, fortunately my landlord bought various types of blades and for our conditions the trilobe type worked way better. Shidaiwa makes one but the Oregon made one is thicker and more durable.
I say the trilobe is better because it is lighter in weight, does not tax the engine while getting to optimum rpm, and can be reversed and re sharpened.
I use a Shidaiwa 242 for my string work and a C35 for the blade. I'm able to chop 4 inch Spathodia ( African Tulip Trees) and 3 inch Guava ( very resilient wood) with the blade. The blade does and awesome job on California grass too. I live in Hawaii and we have 12 months of growing season so everything grows constantly.

We had a shop cat where I used to work. Customers would stop by just to visit the cat, not actually buy anything, just belly rubs. Looks like your shop kitty doesn't miss a meal 😹Thanks for the video, BIL gave me his old Echo kit, and I never bothered to change out the strimmer head for the cutter.

My echo has a curved shaft, so I'm out of luck. Seeing you with that beautiful loving cat made this a special video to watch. Thank you Chickanic and all the best from New Rochelle N.Y.

I love your beautiful shop cat. I have a long hair Siamese that is my sidekick whenever I'm working on anything outside. He absolutely has to help me do whatever I'm doing. He will walk back and forth from the shop to the house keeping up with me. He is a lover purr baby.

13:50- the underside of that cupped washer you're holding is concave, which allows a single reducer adapter washer to fall into the concave area of the cupped washer. I have to insert TWO reducer/adapter washers under my cupped washer to keep a single one from falling into that concave area. I'm running an Echo SRM-265T. It's a beast!!!

I've been using Grass Gator for over ten years, and found it works better for most brush than any saw blade I've tried. Full body armor is advisable if you can't take a hit from rocks and sticks, but I can live with that. I initially bought the Echo kit but just wasn't impressed with it. My old SRM-210 is 18 years old and it has been really worked on our acreage. Of all the blades I've tried, the Forester blade with chainsaw teeth seems to perform the best.

I have a solid gray cat identical to yours and it is probably one of the best cats I've ever had I've taught him how to fetch ! Russian Blue is what they solid Gray .He had a brother with him and I couldn't take one without the other so I had to keep them together as brothers. They are some hunting little demons . I don't understand how people can be mean to animals.
