“I’m a psychology major, so I immediately pick up on things like that” - anyone else find this ridiculous?

1st story: "I'm a psychology major so I'm very clever and observant." "Eek the spooooky lady did a mental illness and I got all scared." "Sure I broke privacy rules and fed into an agitated woman's psychotic episode, but I don't think I did anything wrong. uwu I'm a psych major!"
Protip: Change your major, OP.

Everything about the first story pisses me off. From the 'im a psych major, so I pick on stuff like that' line, to the fact that their coworkers called the woman a very derogatory name, to the fact that the op, a psych student, thought it was okay, and even APPROPRIATE to ask the woman about the person she was hallucinating. If the op is a psych student, they need to drop out or grow some empathy, or in the very least some sense. You can figure out from the first page of Google that you shouldn't act like a hallucinated person is real to the person hallucinating them. If the op ends up becoming a psychologist, I have no doubt that they would only cause harm to any of their future patients.

The first two stories aren't even scary. They're just sad.

I am a psychology major, and as a basic rule as psychology major would surely know that if someone if having auditory or visual hallucination or is possible schizophrenic one or the worst things you can do is interact with their hallucinations? All this does is scare and confuse the individual as it becomes harder for them to distinguish between what is and is not grounded in reality, causing further distress and paranoia. Also why would it take being a psychology major to notice this? 😂 all the person in the first story did was put that woman into a state of panic and distress, likely deepening her delusions and potentially contributing to the loosening of her grip on reality. Also, ‘psycho sally’ is a pretty cruel name to assign to someone who is mentally ill, can you imagine if she ever heard that? Awful awful

I feel so disgusted by this person who let her friends pour off the mayonnaise of this poor guy. ''I felt so sorry for him!'' Great excuse for being a horrible person. Yeah, some people are f*cking weird. So what? Just tell them you're not interested. *That's. it.*

the first story made me so mad. when speaking to someone with schizophrenia, you should never acknowledge their hallucinations. that’s really dangerous because it reaffirms the belief that these things are real. a psychology major should know this.

So often I get carried away with the soothing voice that I completely zone out and have to restart the video so I can actually listen to the story.

Hey mayonnaise girl? Ever think him stalking you was your Karma???

I'm kinda hoping the mayonnaise guy knew about her being in on the pranks, and was just gaslighting her and trying to scare her with no intention of ever really harming her, as payback that she definetely deserved.

The person from the first story is dumb. You don't listen in on their convo and then ask if that person (by name) with you wants food as well. If they wanted food, they would tell you, or say "anything else". I've never had someone ask me in a drive thru if my passengers wanted food as well. Lol horrible service.

Lol girl from story three was a bully and ended up in a gas station

What the person in the first story did is horrible, if you know anything about Schizophrenia (which a psychology major should). You can't recognize their hallucinations. If you do, they no longer know what's real and what's a hallucination. If you ever encounter someone struggling with Schizophrenia, respectfully say that you recognize their hallucinations exist to them but you don't see them. This helps them maintain somewhat of a normal life.

Glad the guy in the last story is doing his part to keep that freak off the streets. Alot of gay people put up with abuse, cause they are afraid they won't the taken seriously if they report it. But this only allows these psychopaths to continue abusing people. Good for you sir and I hope you are in a better place now.
