I am testing this out on my spare laptop. Sorry to say that there are a number of settings and customisation options that should be there that are not in this desktop. While the good side is that you can change the start menu view from icon to list view as in the Linux Mint menu. There is no way to move the top panel and menu to the bottom or side of the screen and I don't like the plank dock either. You cannot do anything with it. No option to make it longer to get a bottom panel it comes as is. The Pantheon desktop could be nice if only they would add the options that are in other desktops like Cinnamon or KDE. The lack of these options and lack of a Mint style menu we see on most other desktops. That is going to put new users who are coming over from Windows off. Because they won't know what to do. Most of the software is also missing from the App Center and the desktop depends on Flatpak. So you cannot run the Pantheon desktop without it because a lot of the system apps won't work. For all these reasons I will never run this as my main OS. Ubuntu Unity Desktop is better if you are looking for something different from Cinnamon or KDE. Unity works with all the Gnome apps as well as most of it's settings.

Does it allow us to use deb packages from Ubuntu repos ?
