LNER B12 4-6-0 8572 was the star turn during the Severn Valley Railway’s Spring Steam Gala 2018, leading a line up of GWR 4-6-0 6023 Kids Edward II, A1 Pacific 60163 Tornado, S&D 7F 53808 (a last minute replacement for B1 1264), BR Std 4 80072, Industrial tank Bellerophon and from the home fleet GWR 0-4-2T 1450 and 0-6-0PT 1501 and 7714. The weather was mixed over the weekend with strong withs being a feature of both days, with some sunshine breaking through on Saturday, while the Sunday saw the lineside covered in snow.

Footage is taken from the Saturday and Sunday of the event looking first at the B12 at Sterns, Eardington (both Sat), Bridgnorth and Eardington (in the snow on Sunday) and Sterns tender first (Saturday). Next we focus on 6023 King Edward II coming off shed of Bridgnorth (for the last train of the gala), before looking at her at Sterns (Saturday) and climbing a snowy Eardington (Sunday). Tornado is captured next climbing Eardington Bank on Saturday afternoon and crawling into Bridgnorth on Sunday. Visiting 7F is captured departing Bridgnorth (one shot Saturday, one shot Sunday), climbing past Foley Park, where we also capture Bellerophon (Saturday). GWR tanks are captured coasting towards Bewdley past Foley Park and downhill at Eardington (Saturday) and onshed at Bridgnorth on Sunday. Standard 4MT 80072 is then captured bunker first at Eardington (Sunday) and Sterns (Saturday). Finally we see 6023 King Edward I saunter into Bridgnorth on Sunday evening.
