I don't think they're releasing rare minifigs to lessen the value, they're releasing the minifigs they have in stock. The book company doesn't have access to every Ninjago fig, only the ones that were specifically produced to be in these books. Luckily it won't get much worse than this because they can only use figs that they have in backstock because they didn't sell out from previous years

I am actually happy that stone armor jay is being rereleased, this gives people like my cousin to get him without having to order him off somewhere off eBay or somewhere else. Also I predict that LEGO may rerelease another figure in a book that came out a little bit again, for example if they rerelease the exclusive wu that came in the book between possession and skybound it could come in the book that came out around the end of 2019 with the teen wu with the white robes

While its really awesome for newer fans I don't think they should be re releasing minifigs tbh, I think its better if they just made new designs and suits for the ninja that wouldn't appear in the show, like samurai lloyd.
