Blackstar, Bowie’s 28th and final studio album, was released on his 69th birthday, January 8, 2016. David Bowie died on January 10, 2016, two days after the release of Blackstar. His body of work, his influence on the worlds of music, art, fashion, film, theatre and beyond, and his legacy of innovation and reinvention will live forever. 2022 kicks off with Bowie at 75, a celebration of his 75th birthday with the Brilliant Adventure box set, the previously unreleased Toy, the 50th anniversary of Ziggy Stardust and a series of special events.

Never will such a musical genius visit this earth again.

Beautiful song, it's amazing how fast time flies. My wife and I met 41 years ago and have been married for 33 years. I love her more than ever but I still look in the mirror and see myself in my twenties. Keep close the ones you love and hold them tight.

There are songs that can be written only by a man who knows. An inexperienced guy could never ever compose such a piece. An he would not be able to perform it either. It takes a certain amount of life to start composing and singing like this. Thank you Mr Bowie.

I’m 68 years old now and I’ve seen so many great artists pass. I think life is about letting go as painful as it is. RIP David Bowie.

Bowie's later years are often ignored but he made good songs his entire career. Not just in the 70s.

This video. This is what happens if you are lucky enough to grow old with the one you fell in love with when you were young. I'm in my late 50's and so is my wife. Yet I still sometimes see the me of my 20's in the mirror. And I always see the youth in her.

Too few people mention the corner stone of this song - that smooth as silk bass by Gail Ann Dorsey. It's the heartbeat. Wonderfully deep and purring.

I find this video deeply moving, as I head towards 60 and see my once-young and handsome husband deteriorate through illness.

The older one gets, the more the themes of this song/video ring true. Beautiful and haunting, this is truly a work of art from an experienced craftsman.
