For everyone worried, they’ve done numerous tests and there’s zero asbestos. However they did find high concentration of evaporated tears as well as all the hopes and dreams of the cadets who fell off the shelf.

*Me looking at the course* That doesn’t seem so bad.

*Me doing the course* Please let me die.

The school I go to (in Europe) is so old that the church of the school has cannon balls logged in it's walls from the napoleon wars.

Trying to explain the Indoor Obstacle Course is like trying to explain bike riding. You only understand it when you've experienced it personally. I could feel my lungs and throat burning as you moved through the obstacles. Great videos and good to see some things just don't change. Beat Navy!

That burning sensation in your lungs? That's probably asbestos my dude! 😂

Wow, that gym looks exactly the same as it did in the mid 80's. I used to live at West Point as a kid while my Father (class of 75) worked in Admissions.

Army logic- wear reflective PT belt over reflective PT jacket...

Digging the new PT's though.

You should do a air quality test in that place might explain the lung

When he was doing the first run through the course I thought "No way, this is a joke. He's just improvising this"
And then it turned out to be real

Truth. I graduated in 92, and I still wake up with nightmares that it is IOCT day...

This course seems pretty easy even with the whole lungs burning because you are probably breathing asbestos thing.

It doesn't look so bad from my sofa. I assume there is a time limit, that would change things.

Class of ‘81 here. Thanks for the memories. That’s one thing that’s hard to explain to people who haven’t done it. The key thIng to add is that there’s a time limit and eventually graduation depends on success. The course looks like a fun challenge without knowing that four years of work comes down to 3 minutes and 45 seconds of agony. It adds a mental stress for days before the test which is only relieved by making it up on the shelf on the first attempt.

Ah! The O-Course!!! Brings back GREAT memories of building LOTS of character! Don't forget to mention the trashcan at the finish to puke in. Glad to see it's STILL the same haze it always was. One time I pulled a joke on my roommate by typing up an official-looking distro note (in my day they were printed on line-printers and we had terminals in each barracks that you could use in local mode) telling him that DPT had chosen him to be in a pilot program where he'd have to run the O-Course every day for a month. He honest-to-God almost started crying!!! :-) BEAT NAVY!

If you played any sports through your life constantly, this will be a cake walk.
