Kiribati is made up of 33 atolls, spread over 3.5 million km² of ocean – an area the size of Western Australia and South Australia combined. Kiribati has been involved in labour mobility since 2012, sending workers to Australia for the aged care, meat processing, horticulture and tourism sectors.
