Redneck Golf Cart. First Ride. Yamaha G1 Golf Cart. 2 stroke, blue smoke!

Ever been out playing a round of golf and thought to yourself...."geez this could make a good bush cart". In this video I take that thought and put it into reality with some "foot to the rug, string to the sky" mentality. With a walk-around tour of this 1984 Yamaha G1 2-stroke golf cart, you're able to see the ins and outs of this vintage ride. With 34 years of blue-smoke, 2-stroke fun under it's belt, I take you for a ride on this rocketship. Watch how easily it pushes through the mud as I tackle the spring trails. Hold on, this thing isn't pretty but it sure is quick. Here we go!

To anyone with a G-1 that smokes, take muffler out and barbecue it ---- burns out all oil --, took 30-45 minutes even blew air in it and flames blew out end for 10 minutes lol
One of the forums suggested it, mine ran perfect after that

I just bought one a couple days ago. He said it wouldn’t run…. It needed a battery and the vacuum hose to the fuel pump was cracked. I replaced that and away she went ! 🇺🇸👍🙋‍♂️🖖🏻

I have one. My grandfather left it to me. It sat under a tarp for the last 25 years behind my parents shed. Seats are perfect, probably has 20 original hours on it. My kids went out last weekend and towed it into my dads shop. It was running within the next 2 hours. 4 new tires, a spark plug and a battery. Good times for the kids.

I have one also it was running great until yesterday we had to push it the last 100meters to the club house. The motor may be dead. Nowon around where I live 😢 that can fix it

Mine does that exact thing. Foot to the floor and nothing. It used to put along at 1’ per sec and then catch and take off like a madman. Gotta figure out why.

I have 2 G1 yamaha carts....1 runs, and in progress of resto-pimp...the other the engine is out 😕 no idea what's wrong with it, that's how I purchased it.

Just bought a G1 1983 foir $250. Needs a relay, belt, throttle cable, Ign switch and a Volt Regulator. Has 120psi Compression. Excited! Get the parts in 5 days!

Ive had the same cart for seven years and never done anything to the thing and its sat out side all winter and summer and she fires right up! You cant kill these machines
