I’ve seen her live 5 times. She is an incredible performer. For many songs, she sings live, and for other songs with intense choreography, she leans on a pre-recorded ‘live’ feed, like she is here. I’ve never seen her do this myself, but when she addressed the audience in the middle of the song, (I wouldn’t trust your looks baby if I could), then instantly sang the next line in her baby soft, ‘Janet’ voice…she kind of broke the illusion that she was actually singing. She is also struggling with her monitor for some reason in this performance, which would make anyone likely to let the backup vocal do the work until the problem is resolved. As you can see…nobody really cared and I wouldn’t either. She never stops performing as far as I’m concerned. She gives 140 percent every night…and the adrenaline rush I get after one of her shows has me pumped for days.

People always says she's pre recorded. This is 100% LIVE. I can hear catches in her voice, plus the double backing vocals.
Makes me wonder why some dates are live and others are not. I wonder what thresholds determine when its a "live night" vs pre recorded.

I dont even think they really meant for this to go anywhere back when it came out. Seemed like it was the last release off of a HOT album and they threw a video together just to hold fans over til Janet returned with her next album. Probably didnt think much would happen with the video of Janet in street clothes free-styling some dance moves. NOT. People LOVED it and were all over it. It was great to see her just looking like every day people and dancing solo, without all the dancers and extra stuff going on behind her. Still one of my favorite videos and songs from her, along with Lets Wait Awhile.
