I remember when you could enable disabled cores, was a process (I know, I know) of course. I am glad you made this for those that didn't know what's what.

If intel and Apple only ever used perfect chips and threw the rest out - they’d cry about how expensive they are

Thank you for explaining this so eloquently.

So help me understand this. So you're saying that the Mac Studio M2 Ultra with 24‑core CPU, 76‑core GPU, 32‑core Neural Engine is ... (their most expensive computer) "Binned"??

When Buying Apple Mac how can I tell which is binned and which is not??

Recently iPad Air M2 got downgrade from 10 Core GPU to 9 Core GPU. So, it's also a binning process? Let me know, thanks ❤

the basic M2 chip exists with 8 and 10 GPU cores...so NO there is binning

You find the 8 core GPU vers, on the base M2 13 inch Macbook air.

With Intel, for example, why is the single core performance different for i5 vs. i9? It seems like it would be the same. In the same vein, why is the amount of CPU cache different?

great video and totally get it. What I don’t like though is the extra £1000 for something allegedly “premium” (in all fairness the price is top notch😂)

I still have a question aruond my mind. So basicly they will still produce lower cpu and highend cpu at the same time. Just if some highend cpu not meet the qualifi, they been cut out some unstable core and then become lower tier cpu right ?. I was wonder in the first place that why they dont just alway produce the highest cpu and then make it lower when it not meet the qualifi 😂

So, concluding, the fact that a processor that does not meet the Core I9 requirements and thus is sold as an Core I5 is a marketing Trick to sell faulty CPU's which would otherwise be dumped, right?

Thank you! Now I just have to try to understand what a core is LOL
