Van life through the incredible Izu Peninsula | Japan off the beaten path

In this video, I take you along on a van life trip throughout the incredible Izu Peninsula, the southern point of Shizuoka Prefecture. From lofty peaks and lush forests to rugged coastlines, hot springs, and sandy beaches, Izu has something for everyone. Despite being only a couple hours from Tokyo, this region of Japan has lots to see off the beaten path, especially so in winter when it is less frequented by tourists.

Just came back from Izu Peninsula last week, it was great. I have not seen Mr Fuji though. Too cloudy and some days I just simply spent in onsen. Shimoda is a small town, almost too quiet but we enjoyed small streets, the food was great and close to everywhere. And the nature is absolutely fantastic, I felt like in Hawaii.
