Good call on the surging at idle. I had a 2003 Duramax with low power when cold and surging at idle I was working on. I Checked the idle RPM and it was fluctuating 1000rpm . I replaced the fuel pressure regulator and its perfect. !!! Tons of power, no

Informative video, thanks for posting. I have a 05 duramax that will randomly start chugging or missing. It will do this under a light load, if i give it lots of throttle it has plendy of power and runs smooth. When its chugging it also makes a "spark knocking" sound and will also idle rough. No smoke at anythime.

Hello. I enjoyed your video. I was reading the comments and the situation with bromm257s truck happened to mine tonight. It is a 2003. Surging with non consistent clattering. The temp gauge dropped to the bottom. It also burned through a 1/4 tank of fuel in the last 50 miles driving home. Did you two come up with a solution? If so, could you post it here? My knowledge of diesels is limited. Thank you.

If you have smaller hands you’ll see that you dont need to take all that off just take that first pipe that’s on your y bridge right in front of your turbo it’s easier then taking everything apart

Ok guys I got 05 Chevy 6.6 that want keep fuel pressure at the filter housing. It was sending injector group circuit codes. I replaced injector pigtails and replace the fuel filter housing. Still all I got is alot of white smoke and no power. It even throws the gauges off when it acts up. The fuel oil and temp gauge drops when it acts up

Hey hi brother I already replaced the fuel pressure regulator and the fuel real pressure sensor too in a gmc cierra 2007 6.6 2500 and still the check engine light is on I erased bunch of time but it those want come off, can you help me please with that proble.

How exactly did you diagnose the issue? I have an 02 LB7 that has a slight lope at idle in gear. Not in gear it runs smooth, soon as you throw it in gear you can hear it start to lope/surge. Driving the vehicle has no issues, good power but just noticed this recently. I'm going to hook up a scanner tomorrow and look at the FP values to see where they are currently. Appreciate it!

I've got an 07 lbz Duramax that surges and lunges, but also it clatters when it lunges while driving, like my pilot injection isn't functioning properly. Could this be an issue?

Peace of 💩. Man I love the way they sound but they suck to work on. Deal breaker for me😅 just to replace that one little part you have to tear all of that off
