Wow this is amazing. It's a chemical formula for precious metal refinement. He is referring to many different chemical processes and reactions extracting and purifying with acids and spirits. If you are familiar with gold or silver refinement with chemical formula this makes sense. The colour change and reactions the drying to red powder the way the ancient alchemist description is amazing.
