Could A Chrysler 300 Last Longer than a Toyota Camry? (You won't believe it)

You won't believe how close the reliability comparison is between a Chrysler 300 and a Toyota Camry. These are two cars that I think just about everyone would pit against each other and say that the Toyota Camry would be a more reliable car. Toyota is known for reliability and for making good cars, but this Chrysler is very different than I thought. You're going to learn a lot when I put Toyota vs Chrysler in this car reliability and longevity discussion.

As a Toyota owner myself, I’ve noticed the general public places emphasis on when Chrysler has issues (3.6 / 5.7 tick, 3.7 overheating) but ignore any of Toyota’s issues (2.4 and 1.8 burning oil, god awful truck frame rigidity). Everyone has their issues and you always have a chance of getting a car more troublesome than the average for that model year.

I own 2013 Chrysler 300 an it has been perfect, in 10 years I've only replaced a battery, so I'm keeping mine forever 😂

I had a 2016 chrylser 300 v6 that I bought at 180k miles owned until about 260, 000 miles, really had no major issues. I sold that for a 2014 chrylser 300 SRT and it’s been treating me great as well.

My experience with a Chrysler 300 was very positive. It was a reliable and solid car that lasted for 300K miles without any problems. I sold it eventually, but I still think it is comparable to a Lexus in quality. I understand that some people prefer a Camry, but I find it bland. The Chrysler 300 has improved a lot over the years and the model shown in the video is much more dependable than the earlier ones. I would choose a 300 over a Camry any day.

Yes! A Chrysler 300 that is almost never driven will definitely last longer than a Toyota Camry that is used as a crash test model.

You're weird, the Camry has a whole lot of plastic. There's also many people with over 300K on the 300 with the V6.

I think that Dodge and Chrysler have been making the same cars for so long that most of the bugs have been worked out and are pretty reliable now. It will be interesting to see how things play out once these models go away.

I don’t understand, I have a Chrysler 300 2016 with 140K on it and for 4 years. Never had a single issues with it.
It’s running like a clock

The 300 compares with the Avalon, not the Camry.... And second, half of the problems you said about the 300 are not true, as I also own both cars and the 300 is solid.

I have owned 2 Chrysler 300S models. One 2016 3.6 V6 8 speed which my girlfriend totaled and the other a 2018 5.7 V8 8 speed . The only problem with either was door panel warpage which was fixed via recalls. We have a 2017 Camry that already has brake and fuel pump issues. The Chryslers are dramatically better road cars in every way, comfort, handling, braking, etc...I don't like driving the Camry at all, but my girlfriend loves that Hemi 300S and I get stuck with the Camry. That's about to change as I am buying a 2023 300C with the 6.4 Hemi!

OK I get Toyota has a history of reliability, but in my family we currently have a 2000 Dodge 1500, 2007 Dodge Charger R/T, a 2022 RAM 1500 Classic and a 2014 Jeep Compass Sport. We (knock wood I guess) have not had ANY major issues. In fact, the Compass just had a run in with an elk on the highway and SURVIVED well enough to drive home and insurance just approved repairing it. Yeah the interiors on some lower trim models is questionable (just like on any manufacturers lower trims, including Toyota) but I don't really see that as an issue, the Compass being the most plasticy of the bunch. No TIPM issues (yet).

My 2014 300 was good to me loved it no problems except when the dealership worked on it for a minor problem and caused a serious fuel line leak! Traded it in for a Ram no problems with it at all! Mark your quietly silly with the humor but extremely knowledgeable and appreciated Thanks for heads up!

He started trashing Chrysler 300 at 3:34, till 13:15, (I am not even accounting for the last 2-3 min of trashing) in a video of 17 min for comparison he almost spent 10 min of talking trash about one car, almost look like you got paid by Toyota, or you have some personal beef for Chrysler 300, pretty biased review, never trusting this guy.

I have owned 3 Chrysler 300s. They were my favorite cars l have ever owned. I regret trading in mine when l got a company car. They were beautiful, drove and handled very well, large inside for my 6'4" body, reliable and had an incredible stance and presence. Excellent fit and finish especially on my last one which was a 2018. Camrys are reliable but in my opinion, uninspired and like an appliance. 🇺🇲❤️👍

Great Video, I own a 300 and a lot of this stuff does occur, but you're wrong about that TIPM being common with the 300's. I'm in a 300 Group with 38, 000 Members and know completely what's up.and a lot of the stuff also only happens with the First Generations. Also I live in Michigan and after one winter underneath looks brand new still in my 21 Touring L, but my 20 Durango after one winter of ownership was covered in that light surface rust throughout. And the Transmission is only finicky around the years they First started using it. I can honestly say it feels amazing in my 21 and makes the car feel a lot faster than its rated. You can lierally feel a nice clean push from each shift of the Torque flight, and it's NEVER searching for gears with clean predictable Shifts every time as well. When Parked on a Incline it does clunk a little, but if you put your Emergency Break on when doing so, it won't at all.

The 300 is the better looking car over Camry.

EVERY car today has a plastic interior....unless you buy into the high end market.
I have owned four Chrysler 300's, (still own the srt8), since 2016, 2009 300c 5.7, 2006 srt8 6.1, 2020 300s 3.6 and a 2019 300s 5.7.
The 2009 5.7 was the greatest automobile I ever owned, comfortable, reliable and fast. The ONLY problem I had with the car was the plastic radiator drain valve began leaking, so I just replaced the radiator. 43, 000 miles when I bought it and totaled at around 175, 000 miles by a deer in the road.
The v6 was a great car but I felt the '09 was much nicer, especially the Boston Acoustics sound system...just wonderful.
No problems with the v6 but wanted to trade up to the v8 drove it for awhile and loved it, (not as great a car as the '09), but I do like the 8spd. trans.
Just traded it for a Chevy SS...the Chryslers are certainly better highway cruisers and have certain things going for them over the Chevy.
I will keep the SRT8... low miles still with ZERO problems.

In our country Iraq, the most strong and reliable vehicles for travelling between cities and long distances also between Iraq and the other countries like saudi, syria..etc. are the American vehicles like Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC, Chrysler, Dodge.. e.g. Chrysler 300 is used daily for travelling .. from my childhood till now I didn't see even one camry used between our cities despite that Chrysler is more expensive than Camry.. Buying a Chrysler is like dream for so many people here..
