Yes, I closed on my home 9/24/21 with a Conventional Fannie Mae Home Ready loan paid 5% down and paid PMI upfront at closing which lowered my monthly mortgage payment substantially.

great video. ! it is safe to say then, if you qualify for this 3% conventional loan (where you can get rid of PMI at 20% equity and have lower PMI cost vs MIP) it's much better than FHA at 3.5% where you can't get rid of MIP and you have the upfront MIP cost of 1.75%

I hadn't heard of Home ready until "out of the blue" the CD has been changed to reflect "consumer request change of product"... I only changed the Homeowner Insurance binder, but I see that the Conv Fixed has been changed to Conv Home Ready ... Is this risky? And why the sudden change without notification? Less than 24 hours to new closing date? 🤔
