Being a grandfather of 11, I know most kids start out catching panfish. Then once they get a little older and more experienced, they can have more fun and get better using better equipment, just like we do. So, I really appreciate TFO coming with the species specific Trout-Panfish II ringless line of rods; better quality rod blanks for panfish applications, and at a great price point.

This was my favourite video of yours, super honest and not afraid to call out people. The TFO guy was cool AF.

Looking forward to the new TFO Trout and Panfish rods guys. Thanks for the video as I have been looking for new Panfish rods for myself and my wife and daughter!

Cool video guys, one of the most frustrating things about fishing gear is that most manufacturers and distributors are TERRIBLE at photos and descriptions of their gear.

I'm getting that Cashion rod delivered tomorrow, or at least a version of it, for swimbaits. This will be my third Cashion rod. I am loving them so far.

The Mach combo at the beginning, don't know that i could get behind the price, but I'm definitely into the color scheme and do like the knobs. Starting to get arthritis in my knuckles and can definitely tell conventional knobs vs those larger ones

Really like the TFO rods for sure. Will have to look in to those . The $800 rods although nice looking I'll probably have to leave for a lottery winner. Thanks for sharing guys.

Just got the TFO panfish rod last month for 70 bucks. The new one looks so good. Only must buy I’ve seen from icast for me. May have to give their bass rods a try as well.

“I’m never spending $299 on a spinning reel…”
Me: about to spend $800-$900 on a Vann Staal 👀🙃

I prefer the winn grips or woven carbon. I don't like foam or cork

A little late to the comments, but I disagree with the TFO rep that the guides are not important on ultralight rods. I believe that the guides are the most important hardware on ultralight. The weight of the guides can greatly influence how the rod acts and feels. Heavy steel guides will make a rod feel whippy and slow even if it is a fast action. It's my biggest complaint on the TFO panfish rod and if the guides were lighter the rod would be much more responsive. And I have worn a small groove in the in the tip top of my TFO in a single season using only mono line. Stainless guides are not great.

Honestly, in term of rods and reels, all I'm somewhat interested by is Shimano Stradic simply because of the lower price point compared to the Vanford (low bar to be excited), the Fenwick whole lineup redesign and the Svivlo baitcaster that absolutely NOBODY is covering... everybody is covering the Tatula and crap like that which are awesome, sure, but it's in no way innovative or anything.
