See here’s the thing. What if I told you this wasn’t Chiarelli’s fault. What if since the playoff run 17 something else has been a huge part of the problem. No GM has ever screwed up this bad.
But owners have. Decisions are made by committee in Edmonton, they’ve been clear about that. Generally the loudest guy in a committee is the one who pays everyone, no?

Been an Oiler fan since 1980, and still am an Oil fan. Rode the huge wave through the 80s when I was a kid and then hit the skids since 2006. I feel bad for McDavid yes, but I think karma is legit and I think the Hockey God's are punishing the Oilers for being a cocky team and truly, omg how can you mismanaged a team that had so much skill and then suddenly they have nothing.
