One of the big problems that I have with turbo 4 cylinder Camaros and Mustangs is the horrible exhaust note. Both of those cars sound like angry leaf blowers when accelerating.
In Ford's case in particular, they charged more for the 4 than the 6...they should have put a few bucks towards a better exhaust system.

If only they knew how fun the turbo is to drive because it handles like a six figure sports car

Buying a V8 Camaro is only for those with deep pockets.
I bought a 2011 V6 Camaro and was never disappointed. Cheaper on gas, insurance, and got the performance I needed.

as a 327 pound giant fat man that just bought a 2021 2.0 4 i'd be willing to test his theory with any homies that have the ss version, let me sit in your passenger seat while you drag race against my 2.0 4 cylinder lmao

I too had the issue with the exhaust and 4 cylinders light but get over the exhaust note and get with the handling and performance. I love the 2.0 and the more I’ve gotten to know it the more I love it. To be sure though I’ll probably buy the 8 but won’t give up the 4.

Reading the comments i see many people that are not really understanding the concept of why someone would choose the turbo 4 engine over the V6/V8 engines....1st and foremost having the most powerful engine is NOT the most important factor in a performance sport coupe/muscle car...
2nd...ALL current available camaro engines provide great performance, don't matter if it's the turbo or the V6 or the V8 All 3 engines have their Pros and Cons and are designed to satisfy 3 different customers....
AND YES I KNOW AND AGREE THAT ANY OLD OR NEW MUSCLE CAR FEELS AND SOUNDS THE BEST WHEN PAIRED TO A V8... However a camaro with the turbo 4 should not be considered a bad choice or something to be embarrassed about...in fact a turbo 4 Camaro gains some handling performance benefits over the bigger engines...the top reasons customers should go for the turbo 4 is the much better MPG, the lower price and the lower insurance 2 Drawbacks....you give up alot of power when compared to the V8 but more sad is you give up the Iconic and Seductive Muscle car V8 sound and it's mighty Exhaust Rumble that gets your panties wet.
But when money is tight and insurance premiums are high yet you require your daily performance fix, you can rest assured the turbo 4 Camaro will give you a fast performance ride along with great nimble handling that allows the driver to really use every last ounce of power allowing the driver feel more confident in pushing thier Camaro to the limit.

The better deals are always going to be on the 2.0 & V6 Camaro's because that's what keeping the camaro alive. As with any car as you know a brand new SS starts out at $45, 000 and believe me after one year you could see a 10, 000 or more depreciation hit on the SS just take a look the price of a use 2018 or 2017 SS there at least $10, 000 or more under there sticker and barely a little over year or two old. And' hence', upside down on your car loan.

Dude you gotta go used. I got a 2017 1ss with 13k miles for $26, 400. Practically still new with warranty. Meanwhile brand new 2018 v6s are going for more. The depreciation is crazy.

When I drive my 2.0t, the thought occurs to me that GM designed the car for the engine and vice versa.

What you think is better a Chevy camero 4 cylinder or a Teslamodel 3 ?? What would you buy ?

That's the downside to the SS. That's why you have brand new 2018 SS models still sitting on the lots well into 2019. Smh.

I brought my daughter a new 2023 camaro 4 cylinder turbocharger for her sixteenth birthday and she loves it and so do I. She said it is the start of a up and coming collection of muscle cars for her to come in the future.

I have a lot of experience and mostly have my own opinions but I’m curious of your thoughts on going the EV direction(own a 2020 Tesla Model 3 Performance)vs bikes and just gas cars in general. Like we all know the process and cons but what’s your actual EXPERIENCE of those known pros and cons? Would love to hear your thoughts if you get the time.
