I purchased the Pearl Prestige Elite Custom MLX in Sequia Red lacquer in 1989. It came with the first gen brass free floating snare. I added an 18" kick for jazz playing and a 10 inch tom. I even added the DR80 with 12 clamps. I took it on tour and we could set up fast with the rack. Great stuff!

Years ago when one got a new Pearl kit they were fitted with Pearl ProTone heads which looked beautiful, sounded good, but lasted a few minutes. Pearl went to Remo. Cheers from Australia!!!

It's so freakin' cool to see how far this finish has been taken so far! We initially designed together with our Swiss endorser @FlavioMezzodi for his Masterworks drum kit a few years ago. We were getting so many requests about that finish that we simply had to put it into our finish program.
