Let's face it – boxing has been slow this month.

Outside of the 'mega-card' featuring Terence Crawford, a lot of these fights have had little buzz.

This week we saw an interesting bout on ProBox TV with Jarrett Hurd and Jeison Rosario fighting each other to a draw...a somewhat perfect ending. Michael Angeletti won on the undercard and Dominic Valle looks to be a promising prospect.

We also talk about Floyd Mayweather's odd exhibition run after his pro career as during this telecast a DAZN pay-per-view featuring Mayweather will air as he fight John Gotti III. The fight in Mexico City features some interesting match-ups like Azat Hovhannisyan vs. Alan Picasso and the return of Curmel Moton as well as Aaron Silva, but behind a paywall is a tough ask.

We talk about a DAZN Matchroom Boxing card on Saturday to end the month of August. Diego Pacheco faces Maciej Sulecki in the main event. A great co-main event will see Adelaida Ruiz vs Ginny Fuchs, a banger of women's boxing match.

OTX Boxing is a lot of fun. They have a tournament on Friday that is on DAZN and DAZN's YouTube channel. The tournament features Brandon Adams vs.Francisco Daniel Veron and Andreas Katzourakis vs. Robert Terry. The winners of these fights will face each other in the finals. Also, Elijah Pierce is the headliner and Dante Layne will be on the undercard.

On Saturday from Santa Ynez, Calif., junior welterweight Cain Sandoval fights Romero Duno. Sandoval is pretty darn good.

Though we will talk about it next week, Naoya Inoue will fight Sep. 3 against TJ Doheny for all of 122 lbs titles. Inoue is so good he gets two weeks worth of takes.

Canelo doesn't deserve to be anywhere near the top of P4P. Let alone ABOVE Inoue for goodness sake. Canelo's either getting utter embarrassed by Bivol, or managing dull decisions against guys two weight classes LOWER than him. And what does that say about Canelo's P4P cred? Meanwhile, Inoue is steamrolling anyone they put in front of him. There's no comparison really.
