Sir, greetings from Pakistan. This is a classically sung song. It is definitely a wedding song in which a daughter is talking to her father. However, it was written by the 12th century legendary poet Ameer Khusro, who was a spiritual poet. This means that the song has a spiritual meaning and use of wedding related words and sentences are simply metaphors. Sir, yourself have the great capability to feel about our songs now and get somewhere near everytime, which was beautifully done. Sir, this is such a classical song, which will definitely be liked by the people from this part of the world i.e. Pakistan and India. I don't find any reasons as to why English translation was not available because we have watched even more traditional songs having English translation available in Coke studio. So, will have to accept your opinion. While summing it up, it was beautifully reacted to by yourself. Best wishes for the channel. With warm regards

Its a old folk wedding song title translating to Green Green Bamboos, daughter talking about daughter prospective asking dad to get preparations started for her wedding and he will do anything for her wedding be a great one. Btw Coke Studio Season 2 has subtitles for almost all songs if you ever wanna go back to it 😀

The lyrics are too deep and intense to be translated. Only an Indian or a Pakistani or a Bangladeshi will understand what wonder this song is !! Centuries of tradition backs up the lyrics and it is for a daughter and her father to appreciate the vastness of emotions this song embraces!!
What a marvelous rendition by the singers and the musicians!! Dumbstruck!! 😢
