3 Pulse Sites You MUST Know as a Nurse #shorts

Here are the three most common pulse points I've used as a nurse. First, the radial pulse. This pulse is great to check the heart rate on a patient during a routine assessment.

Next, the brachial artery pulse point. This pulse point is used during manual blood pressure assessments, as well as a pulse check on an infant during CPR.

Finally, the carotid artery pulse point. This is commonly checked during CPR or code situations on adults to verify whether a pulse is present.

For CPR -> Adults(>8 years) : Carotid
Children (1-8 years) : Carotid (for primary check) and femoral (for conduction range)
Infants (<1 year) : Only brachial
