One time I stuffed my iPod ear buds up my nostrils (yeah) to see if I could hear through my nose. I could because the music was loud enough, anyone could hear it. But when I swallowed saliva I could immediately hear the music, super clear, ear buds still lodged up my nose. Besides that, I found out if I opened my mouth wide enough the sound would come out like a speaker.

That's amazing. Both the 1860 recording and the one from Voyager gave me goosebumps.
I could almost see that man alone in his basement with his brand new invention, it's so incredible that someone thought about recording sound when nothing had been recorded before, nothing !
I'm talking about the idea itself, the idea of capturing a moment of the present, not just representing something with paint or describing an event with word afterwards but somehow stealing something from the present.
