(2, 1), (1, 2) belongs to R but (2, 2) is not in R. Then how the set will be transitive by adding (1, 1) only.

actually, the answer for the second que is option C that is transitive because if {a, b} ∈ R and {b, c} ∈R then {a, c} ∈ R, that is the definition for transitive relation .Suppose is {b, c} ∉ R THAT IS if there is no {b, c} in the relation then {a, b} is itself an transitive relation which belongs to R
