Death and decay proceeded from the fall of man, because all created things in Genesis 1 were placed under the rule of man. This earth was created in perfection, and God gave man free will, which resulted in our ancestors' choice to disregard trust in God with the tree of knowledge.

The price for sin has always been death > spiritual and physical > due to the nature of God being fully Holy, Just, Righteous, Compassionate. However God was not surprised by their choice, and made provision to extend His grace to sinners who turn to Him and follow Him. He is also coming again through Jesus Christ to recreate this world as it should be.

The question I would ask that lady is why she has a problem with suffering and decay if she holds to an atheistic or agnostic view. Because life would be meaningless, and therefore any triumphs or suffering would also be meaningless ultimately.

Incorrect. Why is the world in a "fallen" state? Because MAN sinned. Therefore, all suffering is due to sin, no way around it. Abuja suffer in this fallen world, but why? What did they do to deserve to die a fallen world? Nothing. Therefore, God allowing their suffering is unjust.

Animal suffering? Its just the natural way of life, suffering is essential to growth. Everyone suffers, from the ants to the humans. Without suffer, there would be no way to strengthen in life

garbage view, the point she is making is that animals suffer needlessly with no possibility of redemption and no moral justification.
If god is maximally good, then he would create a maximally good world.
A world with needless suffering is not maximally good.
Animals suffer needlessy.
God is not maximally good.
God is not God.
It could be argued that job's suffering was not needless, it serves some instrumental value of some sort like it provided a message or something. Cliff then needs to argue that the glaringly apparent needless suffering of animals is not, in fact, needless.
If you are going to go around universities doing this act, then get a grip on the positions.
