All tool watches from Rolex are homages to the past. To do them in precious metal makes perfect sense to me. We don't need them in steel or gold but we love em. The 36 wears well on you but especially in the bi metal the 36 is more feminine looking than say the 39 or.. But that's certainly a look sought by both men and women. I like it even if it's not for me. Elegant but still cool piece. Great video Hafiz.

Rolex seem to get everything just right, this is no exception. No wonder they are sought after by so many people.

Thanks for the amazing video as always. I'm really considering the new 36mm steel Explorer. The previous 39mm one was a bit too large for my small wrist and taste, but the 36mm could really work. This could replace the IWC Mark XVIII in my collection.

Great review. Nice to see Rolex go back to the original traditional case size. I ordered the 36mm SS version to replace my current 39mm Explorer which is soaring in price now that it’s been discontinued.

I have one and love it. The beautiful black dial really pops with the gold. Great video. Keep them coming.

It would be really interesting if you could compare the 36mm explorer with the 37mm yachtmaster. 2 of the smaller Rolex sports models

Great video. Thanks. I have bought the all-steel version and love it. The only thing is that it seems impossible to have the minute hand right on markers all the time when the second hand reaches the 12 marker. I noticed on your video that it seems to be the case with your watch also. Minor point for me anyway. Keep up doing videos !

I’m on a waitlist for the SS 124270 and I’m so excited to get the call… if it comes this decade, that is.

Not keen on the two-tone. Love the design of the SS Explorer. Always have. But for me at least (7.25inch wrist) this watch is just far too small & dainty. So wished Rolex had maintained a 39mm version as well - the grey market for those now is just silly. Great review. Thank you.

Wonder what an everrose gold one would look like.

I have the steel 124270, but I don't see much place for the two-tone. An all-gold one, though. That would be very cool.

Own the 39mm 214270 MKII, love it 😊. Flies under the radar, and simple. Seems everyone has a sub, so the explorer fits my lifestyle.

Great video again with all details. Me still thinking of a 39mm version. Rolex shouldn’t have finished that line.

Great review! It’s a shame that the 39 is discontinued! They should have kept both. Do you think Rolex will bring out an Exp41?
