Hey rob thanks for the informative video. I just had my B1 visa interview as a TCN from US Embassy in Bangkok on 15th December 2022. I was issued a 221g White slip with reason as other. The VO wrote admin review. Also i was aksed when am i flying back to my country. And i answerd 20th December. After that he said, we will let you know before that. I am really scared my case doesn't get hold up for long. I am in a third county US EMBASSY.

good afternoon, I faced an unclear situation for myself, I was interviewed in Frankfurt and the consul said that the visa for you and your family was approved, the passports will be issued in a week. After the past week, we did not receive a passport, and 10 days later we saw on the website the status that our case was under administrative inspection.The difficulty is that the email address specified in d160 has ceased to be valid and there is no access to it anymore.Perhaps the consulate requested any documents and we did not provide them. We wrote several letters to the consulate with different statuses to receive a response and they replied once that the case was being checked. How to find out what to do now, it seems that the matter is at a dead end, because we do not understand what exactly they want from us since the mail does not work and the one we wrote to the consulate did not ask for any additional information?

My brother’s case is stuck with 221g, sometime in May he had scheduled to drop off passport for visa, but he got a return passport and VO required him to have medical exam redone, because his medical about to expired, so after submitted the medical exam he received the email with link for scheduling, he logged into reschedule, but there always the error message that the case number you have entered cannot be found . We did send email to IV inquiry, there no answer yet . We are so frustrated

I think that this process, it's not fair. My wife it's an amazing Biologist and researcher. She got accepted in a Post Doctoral program in the Smithsonian Institute, and she is now under this administrative process. She sent all the information require, and she didn't receive any answer from more than 80 days!. She is very worried about it, because the deadline it's in January 2023. We don't know what else we can do!

Hi .. I have got 221g . I went for a drop box appointment . I went for my H1b renewal. I was in usa and came to india for my personal vacation. In my case nothing is changed either the location nor the employer or the client . I went for drop Box April 20 and got 221G on May 3rd asking for filled LCA. Hi Rob, thanks for the 221g refusal discussion. My son's case is very different the VO told that the Sevis fee which was paid is not updated in their website. Vo told that reschedule the visa appointment after paying. In this case how much time they will take for reschedule, only 20days is there to attend the college. It was happened 24/04/23 today.

Question. At the interview I was told I was approved and got a letter stating that I was gonna get everything back in 10 days. When I actually went to collect I got the administrative letter on the white piece of paper.
Why would this be?
It states that no further action is required and I should just be on standby to provide an updated picture and hold on to the same letter I got back.

This case seems to be the odd one out and I’m hoping for some clarity because my letter requests that I don’t reach out before a three month period from my interview date elapses.

Hi Rob, Many thanks for this helpful video. I have been in this situation since Dec. 7, 2022, when I interviewed at the Musqat U.S. embassy. I am a fully-funded Ph.D. student At WSU. Because of a Visa delay, I had to defer my admission from spring to summer 2023 which starts in May 2023. I'm also about to miss the upcoming summer session too which put my admission at risk. I will be very thankful if you tell me what to do in this status?

Hi, thanks for sharing the useful information. I recently submitted my documents for F1 Visa in a Dropbox appointment in Chennai. After 2 days, i got message to collect my passport. When I collected passport, there was no stamping but there was 221g sheet. In that sheet they selected a check box asking to appear for interview on 5th August. What could be the reason? I already hold H4 (expiring in August) and B1 visa.

Hi, I had applied for my student F1 visa in 2020 right before the pandemic hit. I had to adjust it from a B1/B2 to F1 and I am in the US. I've been waiting since for my visa to be approved and USCIS have messed up my papers on 3 separate occasions and I had to reapply each time. I had hired a lawyer to help me apply but unfortunately she had informed me that all we can do at this point is wait. Please help because I don't know what to do at this point and it hurts so much because my friends and family back home have actually completed their course and they're doing their masters.
