This might be the first time I’ve ever heard someone echo my mantra. I can relate 1000%. I went from a gangbanging thug, kind of person you wouldn’t want to meet in a dark alley late at night type shit. It took me a long time and alotta lessons to finally learn I needed to surround myself with different people, and put myself in a different place. Now I’m a contributing member of society with a wife and 3 kids who look up to me. It terrifies me to imagine them following my footsteps. Following the principle of seeking out those who are better or smarter than me on a matter and learning from them and “making it my own” has taken me many places and taught me many lessons I never would have known had I not had that realization that you are the company you keep.

This exactly! Many people consider me to be antisocial, but I have friends and hang out with certain people. If I'm being "antisocial" it's because my moral compass pointed me in another direction. Even if that direction is toward me watching TV in a room alone in a house full of people. Morals and principles
