The new gen 5 is 2 bolts, same power, lighter and a new 800wh battery

Unless it has full power, an internal gearbox and a belt drive, then forget it. Pinion MGU with belt drive is next on my list!

Have to say that my next eMTB will not be a Bosch one. It’s powerful and reliable but I cannot stand the rattling.

These new motors need to fit gen 4 bikes!

Nope, I don't believe it is a Gen 5, just a newer Gen 4, the same as on the 2023 model bike without the protective cover across the back, making it look even smaller. Looking at my motor on my new 2024 Cube, I don't see any difference apart from the back heatsink-like housing being covered or missing on this one, the tape protecting the internals! And the pointed part on the motor housing on the frame is for a Bafang or something, not a Bosch, as it has two round half-circles in the mount on the frame, so you're seeing it on a bike designed for a different motor altogether with a larger footprint! I'm looking down at my motor on my 2024 bike to this on the screen, and there is absolutely no difference! I have to wonder what Bosch is going to think though with all these videos because they put a bit of tape on the open motor so manufacturers can just place one or a dummy motor in place to complete the bike for the show! They must be laughing at all these video's! Dont think we will see a Gen 5 till atleast 2026 so much updates has just gone into the Gen 4 this week in the new flow app update
