Basic ML for Complex Systems

This recording includes a discussion about how to use basic ML techniques to find out how components of a complex system interact with each other. We can test if a time series A "drives" another time series B by using the history of A to predict the future of B. if adding the history of A to the history B significantly reduces the forecasting error, we might claim "A drives B" or "B depends causally on A".
