My first day working as a self employed EVRi Lifestyle Courier.

We look at how much I was paid. How does EVRi pay compare to the pay at Amazon Flex?

I started as a driver with Evri on Thursday. On my first day which meant to be training day the trainer never turned up so I went into a different branch to get my training. It wasn't even a training it was maily to tell me what Evri and what they do. On my second day at my own branch it was a huge busy branch with 1 manager that everything has to go through him and it is impossible to get hold of him. I struggled in my second day. My 3rd day I decided to go early maybe if I'm lucky enough I can meet the manager and learn a couple more things. Again that did not work, since 8am till 10am standing like a lemon. I have sorted all the parcels in my car which took good hour then discovered there are 2 missing. I wasted 2 additional hours just to get hold of the manager to talk to him about it. That's 7am - 12 am nothing done. This is unworkable environment. Unless you are experienced and you know what you doing. During mid day after nothing is done. I have put all the parcels back and left to no return.

Evri needs to be shut down asap. Their criminal incompetence, deceit and theft cannot be allowed to continue.

i'm working as a parcel sorter/loader, for evri it's a amazing job the hours are only 30 a week 7 to 12, 12£ an hour, we get the routes ready for the VAN drivers and we separate all the different drops and scan them, then the drivers come and pick it up, then we get like an hour lunch break to do nothing and smoke lol we only get deducted 30 mins, but usually i go back in at 11:30 and help any van drivers that aren't gone load up, i don't have to do that, i just like to be useful.

I am still working for EVRI and they have just cut my rate from £1 to 42p it is disgusting that they only think you’re working date is from your first Delivery hasn’t self-employed my working day start when I enter my vehicle to make my way to the Depot, but they don’t believe that the time you been driving to the depot and scanning your parcel is workso they cut my work because I get it all done too quick

My experience was a wee bit different, but a depot in Scotland. Maybe an hour or so going through the app, the guy actually wasn’t hosting training sessions for that day but said if I came in he would sit through it with me. He was in and out as he was busy, which I understood. Then afterwards he too out a cage to my car and said “I know you’re busy after X time so just take as many as you can manage”.

Never found out how much each drop was worth but I’ll find out soon hopefully

I started evri week ago. Advertising as minimum wage per hour. In fact it's only. A half. It's criminal. Also the whole support ends when you start working. Noone replies my questions about pay. I didn't know how much I got untill I spoke with other drivers. Otherwise I'd have to wait 2 weeks for the first invoice. Disgrace. I did about 80 parcels a day 6 days a week.. It takes about 6 hours for. Me. Cuz i can't take them all in one go and I have to go. Back home for them. You have to add time in the wear house loading car which is at least 30 min. And sorting them at home another 30.min.

Parcel delivery driving is a crime, like most things uk, its all kept under the rug, ssshhhh, don, t say anything, why bosses get fat Rick.

Don, t be a delivery driver, streets is too much, the pay is crap, imagine everyday your stuck in traffic jams in the morning, crashes, tail backs, mad rush.

Then guess what you will face it all again I, in the evening and more tailbacks, more stress, more people moaning at you, pressure, pressure, stress stress, all the time

And every day you be will facing that all the time, then when you go home guess more traffic jams.

My answer stuff that, seriously stick it, I ain, t working like that, your health will be knocked badly.

Stuff emmm

So that's how the system works? Two parcels through Evri this week from different places. First one an empty parcel bag stuffed into the letterbox (should have boots and shoes in). Second one a day later was left on the doorstep, we have no garden, no barrier to the world so it may as well have been left on the pavement by the side of the road. Supposed to attempt delivery up to 3 times. Luckily our dog walker was the first person to see it when she came to collect the dogs. I am sure there are employees trying to do a good job but so far I am pretty dam disappointed in the service.

Driving jobs (including many other professions) have become terrible in the UK for most at least by 'developed nation standards', it coincides with the flood of immigrants from poor countries (who will tolerate bad working conditions).

Great video you explain that straight to the point ☝️ I had my training day yesterday What a bloody disaster 😡

They must have done some improvements somewhere along the line They did obviously take ID from me and checked addresses etc etc

The whole thing was obviously rushed through in obviously a day with myself That's not a problem

The guy which actually showed me the app was really busy due lack of staff in warehouse I literally had to wait 45 minutes for another guy to turn up which didn't even have his ID they are very strict on that as he was sent straight home 🏡

Going back to my training the guy actually sat down with me and went through every option on that app bearing in mind that this training was interrupted about a million times 😭 with drivers who had to get to their deliveries confirmed before they even hit the road 🛣️

So basically I waited 45 minutes doing nothing then I was interrupted about million times he went through the whole app Which was good tonight but it took almost 2 hours

Let me get to the main stage basically scan all the parcels Well that's easy then he checked him But sadly my phone missed a few

He said there's probably not your fault to the system was probably update in your phone while you were scanning apparently I was scanning too fast

Well what you expect as I also work for Amazon myself All I wanted to do is get the f*** out of that depot quick as possible

So I had to hang around for another 45 minutes to actually get signed off I could take my deliveries out with one root I actually got them in order But the other 25 parcels were just chucked in the car 🚗 I was fed up before I even went out

So basically like yourself on the road it took a good 18 minutes to get the first delivery as my first round was actually organised it wasn't too bad

Here comes the downside I didn't have any contact numbers for the customers who didn't answer their door 🚪 I couldn't get into block of flats I was basically relying on general members of the public actually letting me in

So I called the help desk thinking they can get through to the customer God knows they said to me you have to go back through to your manager What the hell so I basically just mark delivery which no safe space to leave

I had 9 parcels Which obviously I could not deliver or leave in a safe place obviously I lost out on payment

Ok the manager told me that there is a Sunday bonus didn't say how much this was

It was confirmed that I will get pay a flat rate £1.80 per person delivered But any attempts Not get paid

Like you said Your video 📷 They basically wanted I fill your car up to the brim 0:45 parcels to 50s not much may get on with it

When I quoted the word Amazon Well that's an evil 😡 name in that place obviously they don't like to be compared

But I have learnt something very new today after doing a bit more research apparently the company will bump up wage If it doesn't meet the national living wage Well that's going to be very interesting once that's been challenged

It's probably not going to be my last day with them but hopefully things improve It seems like they've done a few adjustments since your video 📷 to my induction / training session

That's shite pay. After deducting your fuel, there's also wear and tear of your vehicle, tyre, engine wear, inside wear from parcel carrying etc. That doesn't get accounted for by them either.
So yes, what a crap company. I wish ebay would not use them.
