Thanks for this…made it easy to fix a toilet tank that wouldn’t refill after a prolonged water shutoff tank drain. That old seal was in bad shape!

what holds the seal in place? Mine keeps coming off. Can I place a bit of silicone sealer on the inner edge of the gasket so it holds onto the canister?

You don't have to take the chain off! Just disconnect water, turn centerpiece counter clockwise, replace seal, put center piece in, turn clockwise and you're done!!!

I got nervous hearing the plastic on mine. Scared it was going to snap. $7 rubber seal and 5 minutes. My OG seal lasted 8 years.
