That view of the titanic at 1:44 in the pitch black ocean with the calm music in the back always gives me goosebumps!

“To the stars...” ❤️ i love when he asks her if she’s “nervous”

That's when the hiearchy between them finally ends. He instinctively plays her Chauffeur since his status wouldn't allow him to sit back there with her. By pulling him to the back seat Rose destroys these boundaries and welcomes him as equal. "Titanic" is a masterpiece of film symbolism.

1:44

That scene right there gave me chills when i was younger. It just tells you that no matter how far humanity has advanced, they are still nothing compared to the sea and are completely isolated from the rest of the world.

I see it as an impending moment where a lady (Titanic) is just nonchalantly dancing under the star-lit sky, only to be swiftly taken down by her killer (the Iceberg).

So many things in this scene alone that just cannot be described.

It's like their fate has already been sealed, as shown by the music alone too.

My brother was only a few years old when he first saw this, and he drew a picture of the car with the hand mark on the window at nursery and it was so embarrassing yet adorable.

When Jack says "Where to, miss?" and Rose replies "to the stars" and then we see the view of the Titanic sailing West in a starry night, it reminds me of the Elven ships sailing West and up into Valinor where the stars are. For those of you who don't know what Valinor is, it's part of Tolkien's legendarium. Valinor was a continent located in the far-West of the world and was separated from Middle-Earth (Eurasia) by a big ocean called the Sundering Seas (Atlantic Ocean). But eventually, Valinor was taken out of the physical world and was placed in Ilmen (which is sorta like outer space where the stars are). From that point on, many Elves in Middle-Earth had to escape the grief and despair that had befallen on them, and therefore they would sail westward across the Sundering Seas and up into Valinor where the stars are. That view of the Titanic sailing West in a starry night makes me think that Rose is a lonely elf who wants to escape the grief and misery she suffers in this world, and that she is aboard on an Elven ship sailing West and up "to the stars" since that's where she believes all her pain will cease.

That distant shot at the end is heartbreaking, foreshadowing disaster will strike but they're too far out in the ocean for help to come fast enough.

This scene is love and sensuality, not pointless sex.

I had my first kiss in a car, I think my subconscious might have drawn inspiration from this.
