❤❤❤ such a wonderful list of books!! Homegoing and Piranesi have been favorites of mine in past years!

Definitely pick up Never Let Me Go because you loved Klara and the Sun! Never Let Me Go is one of my favorites that I still think about!

Schweblin, Toews, and Minor Detail are all on my TBR and now I’m more excited than ever after your recommendations!

I just found your channel and it's so cool to see you loved so many book I've loved too! I loved Women Talking, Fight Night, and Piranesi. I haven't read Klara and the Sun yet but I love Kazuo Ishiguro, definitely recommend Never Let me Go and Remains of the Day! Also loved Transcendent Kingdom. I didn't love The Days of Abandonment but really want to read more Ferrante. I'm adding The Friend, Ripe, and Minor Detail to my tbr! 😄 Have you read Woman, Eating by Claire Kohda? I think you might enjoy it 🙂

Your description about sigrid nunez writing style totally reminds me of Yaa Gyasi in transcendent kingdom. She also was able to put so many themes and topics into her story without it ever losing its main core. because of your description i want to read the friend by nunez, maybe you want to give yaa gyasi a try i am still thinking about transcendent kingdom

edit: i did not see that you have yaa gyasi on your list too hahah. I want to read homegoing too this year, hope you will enjoy transcendent kingdom as much as i did

ugh i need to get to the days of abandonment soon. i really loved the lost daughter if you’re not ready to tackle the quartet. i feel like i need to revisit the friend, i read it a while ago and it wasn’t my favorite 🫣 this was such a great list!!

Yooo your taste in books is so similar to mine!! I loved Fever Dream and am hoping to read Seven Empty Houses this year. Also…is that The Man Who Could Move Clouds on the shelf behind you?? (if so, i guess all those iSpy books i read as a kid is paying off haha). that was actually one of my favorite reads in 2023!!

Elena Ferrante, Kazuo Ishiguro, and Susanna Clarke are my authors. I loved Klara and the Sun, but it’s actually my least favorite Ishiguro so far. The Buried Giant is good. Immediate subscribe 💕
