Hillsborough's capacity has been reduced from 39, 000 + down to around 34, 000 by the local safety team. Something to do with the amount of time the stadium takes to be evacuated, in case of a terror attack.

Clearly a lot of the stadia on the list have differences mainly from date of construction and intended capacity. Stadium of Light is the most modern, while something like Hillsborough looks modernized, but the stands still have that distinct space between the stands. The clubs outside the Premier League also are helping feed the championship with some impressive architecture. Now, if West Ham are relegated and that massive and modern Olympic stadium starts hosting Championship games, then there could be a contest between the Championship and Other European top flights for the best infrastructure.
