I've been collecting data for a few years so let's look at everything!

Very interesting takeaways! also a general good idea to track this kind of data, esp since Webtoon doesnt track that for you (though to be fair- that may be a lot of data to store for every artist publisher)

Hopping back in here to say- I was reminded that your physical book may be available, and I checked Amazon (Canada) and it's there!

Please make sure to post links in your YouTube vids description of where we can get your physical book (probably wise to post the Amazon US, Canada and UK store links) to take people directly there. I didn't realize that I could purchase it via Amazon til I looked, and everytime I watch these kinds of videos from artists I think 'how can I support them? I'd love to purchase their book/ merch if I can!'. I didn't even realize you had a merch store til I looked at your description!

A general rule I've learned from my work (that is related to arts marketing) is you want to direct people where you want them with just one click. If people have to click more than once, they get lost or lose interest. Your physical book may be the largest way you can make the most worth of your money after years of hard work- don't be afraid to advertise it, cuz we want it! Lol.

I found your Sugar and Swords comic a few weeks ago through it being featured on webtoons and absolutely love it!

I just started posting my webcomic on webtoons, and so this video was very helpful 😊 Need to start tracking my analytics moving forward 😅

I enjoy this type of analysis video! It's really nice to see, since a lot of creators don't show their progress.

I noticed that it seems that the number of subscribers verses views for you seems a lot closer and consistent than what I've heard about on YouTube, where you might see channels with hundreds of thousands or millions of followers (and still proportional to smaller amounts), but their average views don't get anywhere close to the total number of subscribers (and while it shows you how many subscribers are watching, it seems to be only around a fifth of them, depending on the time and video). I know that can be a little thrown off by people like me who save almost every video to each I'm subscribed to and am behind in the time of viewing, but surely I'm in the minority of that behavior. So, I just thought that was interesting as well!

Individual artists will recommend comics, either in their comics (usually friends) or creator posts (usually their personal favorites), and that seems to cause a spike especially if their comic is doing well. The recommended system, especially after they've pushed it into popping up after each comic page, similarly seems to boost listed comics if the initial comic is doing well. Albeit neither of those are really in your control and would be even harder to pull useful data from.

Question about the tos of webtoons. Do you still own the copyright of your creations there when posting?

Hi, I am getting into art. What do you recommend? My sister uses an iPad, should I do the same? What’s an easy art style for beginners?
