Thank you SO MUCH for doing something specific to Florida/the south!!! So hard to figure out how to start gardening when most info doesn’t apply to this climate.🙏

Texas 8B. Soon, I'll be clearing my okra and summer squash plants to make room for kale, lettuce and carrots. I can't wait for November!

Thanks for remembering us from Florida and Puerto Rico. When the rest of the nation is finishing the growing season, we are just starting. So happy to have you in central Florida.

We are still getting tomatoes in southwest Missouri! We have had to cover twice. It has been an incredibly warm November! We've gardened over 40 years & have never seen anything like it, but it's about to change.

Started flat cabbage and collards. Sweet potatoes almost ready to harvest. Love fall and winter vegetable gardening in Florida. Thank you for information and updates.

In Texas 8a, I've had success with planting lettuce, kale. garlic, carrots, and spinach around this time. Tried snow/sugar peas with mixed results.

As a rule I don't plant spinach or parsley until November. Really any cool weather crops I don't bother with until Halloween.
We could have our first frost mid November or mid December, so it's hard to tell if I'll get a harvest of beans or not since I planted them a bit late. Oh and the pigs got out and ate up my cucumber seedlings :( The rest of the garden will sit over the winter with manure so I won't have much of a winter harvest this year.

This October has been unseasonably hot for Northern California (zone 9B) with temperatures in the 90s and even reached 100 one day. I was looking at the weather predictions for this winter and it looks like we aren't going to get any frost this year at all. The lows are predicted to be 40s and 50s instead of 30s and 40s. I'm really not sure what to do. Do I pretend that we're in zone 10? I planted out a bunch of kale and Swiss chard the other day.

You mentioned all parts of Florida except north Florida and then you talked about zone 7-8a and NOTHING about north Florida zone 9A lol 😂

I'm in Port St Lucie fl I tried tomatoes, squash and cukes. All got annihilated by flea beetles. How in the world do you get rid of them and how did they get my address? Lol p.s. beginner
