GTA 6 New Release Date (2026)

Grand Theft Auto VI has been delayed internally to mid 2026, Rockstar games have informed some of their developers that are working on GTA 6 release date crunch load at the moment. They need to STOP delaying this. We’ve had 10 years to make this game. People have been waiting for 10 years then we hear it’s gonna happen but not for another year or two years then that date is coming up then is delayed again then the official date is 2025 showed us everything. Everything was fine then now all of a sudden it’s not gonna be till mid 2026 at this point I don’t even want the game, and I hope Rock sees this. This is ridiculous. 😡🤬

Rockstar is a good gaming studio unlike Ubisoft. When GTA VI comes out, it will be legit.

At a certain point you just gotta release the game while it’s already 98% perfect, since that extra 2% is gonna get slower and slower approaching infinity.
However, at least they’re telling us SOMETHING. Look at Silksong, for example. They’re trying to count down the days too, but they have no idea how many days are left.

I literally just told this to my friend group. A lot of players are over hyped and aren’t ready to realistically judge how long it takes to make games this ambitious. I personally don’t see it releasing until March or even November of 2027, and if it takes that long a better question is maybe it’ll be released along side of the “Next-Next” Gen consoles since by than this gen would be coming close to 8yrs old. Based off Sony and Consoles in general there lifecycle between each iteration is about 8yrs or 7yrs max but I suppose we’ll see what happens.
