We are back in SIlent Hunter 5 to take on the Allied Navies and air-force as we seek to send more Shipping tonnage to the bottom of the sea. We have moved to a new theatre on the Mediterranean where we will be assisting our Italian Allies to secure the Med's waters.

Could be a memory overflow. Lots of mods installed and lots of ships in the area, yep sounds like memory overflow. Monitor your ram maybe.
Nother thing: I still vote for you to get your renown back. It was unfairly taken from you, you deserve it back, especially with the upcoming challenge that is the later years of the war.

I would get back to port, save, then restart game. Start game up again, do the ship upgrades with renown points, save, start new mission, save, and restart game again and sail away. I am using a mod that checks the save game files when the game starts, but not sure of the name of it as right now I am remodeling my den and don't have the desktop plugged in at the moment. I think it was in the TWoS 2.0 Compatible Additional Mods and Addons.exe file download from SubSims. Don't know if it will help but my game is very stable. Good stuff Taff, as always...thanks!

Finally a little bit of war actions I'm really looking forward for this series also because I live in the region where you left the harbor to start the operation just a bit far from Spezia or La Spezia. Go Taff!

aux Frigates have a small sized gun at max 3 and most have AA but supply ships only have 3 AA and a troop transport has only 1

Could be a memory leak bug. Try saving and reloading game often.

Your AOB was to steep on the first torpedo, so the torpedo glanced off the hull without hitting the pistol.You didn't set the magnetic one deep enough and it impacted the ship. Magnetic torpedo should be ran at least a meter under keel. When you are setting up AOB on your target, using the tracking method like you are, you set the AOB for where the ship is EXACTLY at that moment, you dont set the AOB at what its going to be at point of impact. Because your scope is tracking the target, the AOB and gyros move along with the scope, so everything will line up when you fire.. The only time you setup your AOB to point of impact, is when you are doing what is called "the perfect shot", And you don't have the charts for that. Never save within visual, or audio contact of any ships, or land.. This corrupts saves. This is a golden rule of SH. Along with making sure to only install or remove mods after a patrol when in port.

i`am running windows 7 and SH5 wolves of steel is running fine but i did read during installation to be very careful when and where you save your game and A warning to stay away from ports especially if it`s a main \ famous port that contain alot of traffic nodes responsible for spawning ships like convoys

It's probably corrupted installation or a gamesave. If you use unsupported mods with WoS that could also explain your crashes...
Can't remember when I had crash to desktop last time with Wolves of Steel only on board. Cheers!

Think that the crashes really do not give me, as a viewer, any problems. I know that they do for you.
What does BDU stand for? I know it is the high command but the name escapes me. Good to see another episode and wish that I could find those convoys with no escort.

i have crashes when i install/delete many many mods, and i fix this deleting full game(before save game in harbor end patrol) and config files, after i install againe game and mods. After that i start game in harbor and start mission. You can try.
