I think that weird noise was from a cell phone. It's something that happens to some speakers/mics if a phone nearby is getting a call. It's not from the vibration but from the actual cellular connection, I believe.

I don't know the science behind it but it's related to interference similar to how using a microwave can make 5GHz wifi have issues.

EDIT: Slight correction because I remembered later. It happens before the call connects and starts to ring. It's a very distinct sound I recall hearing when I was younger when we were *about* to get a phone call and it interfered with our satellite TV by making that sound over the TV speakers.

I Googled and it apparently happens for texts too (ones over cell data, not over wifi). The results I found say it shouldn't happen anymore due to technology changes but it may still affect the phone itself (instead of other nearby devices) since that's what you're recording on.
