Did you know that in WARCRAFT

Did you notice this reference in Warcraft? In the film, a young, inexperienced Khadgar has to fight off the guardian Medivh after discovering that Medivh is actually corrupted. This forces Khadgar to use more power than he ever has before, and you can see him gaina yellow glow around him. This is a reference to the ‘level-up’ animation that player’s get whenever they gain enough experience to get a new level!

This movie gets ripped on for many reasons, as a wow fan, I just love that they tried. I had never noticed the level up thing before. That's cool!

there is also a part of the movie where when khadgar and lothar go to kharazan and when khadgar was going through the library he puts a book back on the shelf when he sees alodi and the sound of the book being put back is the sound of a player putting stuff in their bags in game

For some reason, even when expected i lvled up, i always get jumpscared, but since Khadgar lvled up and the lvl up turned to an explosion, and since Khadgar is one of the most powerful mages in Azeroth, I guess that's how npc's lvl up to

Once upon a time with some of my coworkers we changed the level up sfx to all sorts of jingles. My personal favorite was the Skyrim level up war chants

Underated movie indeed. I Think the reason ppl didnt like it is because the majorty of wow players did not play warcraft 1-2 and thus are not familiar with lore.
