We Tried A $9 VS $40 Microblading Eyebrow Pen

We tested two microblading eyebrow pens at different price points that claim to make your natural eyebrows look like microbladed eyebrows.

The first pen, the Maybelline Tattoo Studio Brow Tint Pen in Medium Brown, retails for $9, and the second, the TatBrow Microblade Pen in Dark Brown, retails for $40. Each pen has four small points at the tip that are meant to distribute product in natural, hair-like strokes.

Producer Kyle Kerchaert evaluates each product on the color, application, and longevity and at the end declares which pen is worth your money.

What I can’t understand is why the hell there aren’t enough products for ppl with straight up BLACK brows!? Drugstore I’m looking at you fools! Not all of us are light skinned with skimpy light brows some have dark or straight up black brows

Thank you. I am a tattoo artist who tries to warn people against micro blading. They think it isn't.. so many are mislead. The facial skin makes inks fade fast. Browns turn to oranges and blues and purple's.now your eyebrows need done again in two years even less. Why I ask do you want to do this? Use a pencil or perhaps dying them. Don't tattoo your face the ink colors change and not for the good

I use the Maybelline Tattoo pen, it absolutely does stay for 24 hours. You can even touch your face, it's a skin tint, not a cake-on-top-of-skin makeup pen, so you have to use remover solution to get it off. It comes off with water and a light scrub. Even better, they actually have an AUBURN color!

I use the Maybelline brow pen and it does stay on overnight and I suffer with night sweats.

I like her brows, she has a natural arch which I think is the way to "perfect" eyebrows.

I have done my own consumer tests on make up. I think the cheaper versions are just as good if not better. You don't need to spend a lot of money. :)

So. I can't help but question why Insider is so late to the game reviewing this style product. Given Insiders access to info, technology, and than compares to the average make up reviewer on YouTube, I think this content is soooo painfully inadequate and...late.
