Support garages with possibilities of mixed reality
We from TecAlliance Research & Innovation wanted to show the possibilities of mixed reality in a garage environment.
Therefore we started in April 2020 with exploring the possibilities of Microsoft HoloLens2.
The use case shows how a mechanic, supported by an AI, identifies a part in the wheel arch. Based on the vehicle identified by VIN-number the mechanic is able to search for identified parts in the TecDoc Catalogue. With some additional features like a virtual ruler he is also able to limit the results by specific criteria like the diameter of the break disc. In addition to this he is instantly provided with the related manufacturer specific repair and maintenance information.
