I don't really like fixed retainers. Only a very few patients can clean them properly, and I see a lot of bleeding.

Just had mine removed. There's no way to get plaque that sits under the bar! All the other parts can be clean but not under the bar. These are terrible for causing periodontal disease. Avoid!!!!
