I don't know but his reviews are really satisfying to watch.

I like that it still has regular gauges.

Honestly, I love this gen more than the 8th gen.

I've had my Mk6 GTI (2012) since 2013 and it still surprises me with its refinement and capabilities. Every time i drive a new car (basic rental or high end Audi SUVs), I always prefer coming back to my trusty little GTI because it feels like a REAL CAR and not just another appliance with a screen that many cars have become nowadays. I will definitely cry the day that I sell my baby.

I just wanna say thank you. I genuinely enjoy watching you drive around. Great reviews.

The GTI really is the best all around car for enthusiasts when taking price into account. It's refined, comfortable, upscale but not flashy, plenty quick, gets excellent gas mileage and has great versatility with the hatch and fold down seats. If you get a stage 1 tune and do nothing else you get 320hp and 350 lb/ft for $699. The GTI is basically an Audi A3/S3 (sans AWD) at a $10-15K discount.

Best review I've watched in awhile. I like this guy's energy. He communicates well. Chill with good information.

Never clicked so fast. Just bought a 2019 SE w/Experience (Fender audio and DCC) 6MT a few weeks ago. Keep up the great work, Chris!

It's because of (watching) one of your previous POV video review of the Mk7 Golf GTI 5 years ago that made me get my 2016 Golf GTI (Autobahn, Tech Pkg in Night Blue). Thanks for your great vid on the Mk7 GTI once again. One of the most fun cars I've ever driven, and one of the best bang for the buck in the industry, with great fuel economy, yet lots of power and torque (more than enough), and still going strong after 4.5 years. Will keep it for years to come!

I have a 17 Autobahn that I bought used with 24K miles, Saved A Lot $$$...Hands down the best bang for the buck. ECU stage 1 tune plus Apr Air Box. Rated at 326 HP 390 TQ. Insane value.. Still an awesome daily driver

I've had my 2015 S 6MT for six years, and love it. Fast, quiet, calm, comfortable, efficient, even reliable! Good value on the base model too, and comes with those sexy plaid seats. Sadly, the Mk8 looks like a step down in design, though I'm sure it will drive well. Don't wait -- buy yourself a Mk7 GTI!

I feel like that rev hang would be REALLY annoying. Especially coming from an older car, where it's non existent.

This is still the benchmark hot hatch, It’s a perfect all rounder.

The sound system is so nice to hear even here on youtube! You can just hear the bass and clarity of the speakers 😍

I have an '18 Autobahn DSG, and it really is the perfect daily driver.

Love this review. Couldn't agree more. I have a MK7 Golf R w/ DSG, and I can confidently say it is overall the most well engineered car I've ever been in short of something that costs $100k+. From the outside it looks unimposing and small (which I love, I don't want a car that looks super angry), but on the inside it feels extremely substantial and feature-rich. I'm 6'2" 220 and even though it's a compact car, I have tons of headroom and legroom, while my backseat passenger still fits comfortably. Audio is great, infotainment is responsive and well placed, all necessary functions are easily accessed with the press of a single button, seats are super comfortable... perfection.

Plus the engine and transmission are just... awesome. So much ignorant fun to be had. I'm running high boost 93oct so I'm making 375hp/385tq, but you'd never know unless you really gave it the beans. I drive 2+ adults around all the time and they never get jerked around from the shifts or engine behavior. On top of that, the DCC gives the car the ability drive either like a track toy OR like a proper luxury vehicle. And that's while still making 20mpg in city conditions with that crazy tune.

I promise I'm not a VW fanboy - this is my first VW and I've owned it for less than a year. It's just a great car, simply put. Imo, overall, it's the best new-ish car you can buy for the money.

I have a 2019 GTI S in Canada and we get the 8" touchscreen here, even in the base one. No DCC, but the base suspension is not so bad. It is such a nice and fun daily driver. Having lots of fun with it, but it can also achieve 36 mpg quite easily if you are smooth with it.

That Golf GTI is a bloody BEAST! I currently drive a ‘16 Jetta TSi, and it’s no joke at all!
