I don't mean to demotivate anyone but myself being studying in government icar college with department rank 1 of my batch what I learnt in last 3 years is -

Most colleges including mine lack facility of lab, infrastructure, practical classes, on campus placements etc .which should be mandatory for reputated institutions.

Most of the youth who pusrsued higher education Msc, phd, net qualified etc are still preparing for government jobs
And those in private sector few earn well after getting experience most are under paid around 15 k without any assured future prospectus .

Research and development is really lacking, quality teaching is mostly missing and to get into university as professor or other position you need to have connection or money under the table scenario is there .

Soo, don't live in fairy world expectation where everything is garauntted if you have deep passion for the subject or profession only then enter so that you'll be able to last and do something meaningful.thanku
